New task request
Logged under Sick & Injured, today's list.
What do the levels mean?
Request check (24–48 h) — green. Can wait. Old-age changes, stable arthritis, overgrown nails, mild skin disease, mild cat flu and still eating.
Urgent (12–24 h) — yellow / orange. Needs a vet look that day or the next. One vomit or loose stool but bright, limping but weight-bearing, not eating (cat 24 h+, dog 48 h+), a wound that may need stitches, repeated vomiting, anything you think is painful.
Emergency (within 2 h) — red. Radio the vet team now; don't wait for this board. Collapse, trouble breathing, pale / yellow / blue gums, major trauma, seizures, suspected toxin, bloat signs, straining to urinate with no urine, heat stress, dystocia, neonate cold or weak. Ticking an emergency sign below sets this level automatically.
From the draft triage guide (not yet approved). It does not replace common sense and gut instinct.
Nurse request
